@MrBurty5
try going to his website for a tension-gauge, otherwise find one in hucks&spaulding.
About the tension in the spring, one machine will never be the same as the other, you need to think about the coils, weight of the a-bar, cap-value, hear and feel the machine and you will know what tension is need for YOUR machine..
And the gap for liner or shader is not the most important, it’s how deep the needles goes, how hard it punches etc etc.. I got all my machines set on a Nickle too..
just watched both liner setup and shader and the gap was the same…… 1.95mm.i would set that for my shader but not my liner. just want to say that the gap is only a guidlineline,get used to your machines and what you want out of them you will no when it is right.great vid tho.
im confused i thought the gap was 1 dime on a liner and the tension 475 g on a liner let me no please and where do i get a tension gauge from please
good vid, very detailed, but personally i would love to have seen this closer up. would be better if you had your cam closer to your hands so we can see what you are doing as clearly as you do. otherwise, a good vid….so says a scratcher!
@streetlight13 Usually I only use 2 bands, but if your splattering everywere add a third. But the more tension on the needle bar the more you’ll have to turn up your voltage.
