Habitat: Mexico, Central America, Colombia
Feature: It belongs to the persimmon family. Although it looks like a green tomato on the outside, the inside turns a dark brownish color when fully ripe. Its texture and intense flavor are so similar to chocolate pudding that it is used in desserts to provide a chocolate flavor instead of cocoa.
